Serving as a Public and Impartial Witness to the Signing of Important Documents.
The Corporate Application is NOT an application for a Delaware Notary Public Commission.
This application is used to obtain a Company ID number which is required before applying for a Notary Commission for Certain Service Organizations.
This application is also used to obtain a Company ID which is required to apply for Limited Governmental Notary Commissions. This Company ID number is assigned to the agency and should be used for multiple applicants to serve as the required employer approval. A separate Company ID number is NOT required for each Notary applicant.
A person applying for a Traditional Notary Commission does NOT need to submit a Corporate Application when applying and paying online for the Notary application.
If an organization anticipates a high volume of Traditional Notary applications and wants to establish a pre-funded depository account for payment of the applications, a Corporate Application needs to be submitted to obtain a Company ID number. The Company ID number would be entered during the Notary application process to bypass the online payment system. Fees for the Notary applications would be deducted from the pre-funded depository account when the applications are processed by the Notary Public Section.
