Below is a reference guide for completing your Oath of Office.  Once complete please return to notary@delaware.gov.

You must log into your notary profile and click the “Renew Commission” link. Your current information will be displayed. Please review and update the information as required, then submit and pay for your renewal.
Click the Login to Notary Profile link which is found on the home page and top menu under “Services”. You must enter the username and password to login.
Click the Login to Notary Profile link which is found on the home page and top menu under “Services”. Then click the “Forgot Password” link and follow the instructions.  An email will be sent to the email address on file with a link to reset the password.
You can log into your notary profile and update the information. If there is a problem with the information you submit, you will be contacted.
The Commission Certificate specifies the expiration date.  If you hold a Limited Governmental Notary Commission, your commission does not expire until you leave qualified governmental employment. The expiration date required in the notary seal or stamp is satisfied by using the phrase “My commission expires upon office.”
You may order your seal or stamp from any office supply store, stamp supplier or notary organization.
Our office does not currently provide training.  Our web site contains a link to the Delaware Notary law as well as answers to frequently asked questions.  The Delaware Notary Handbook is available directly from the American Society of Notaries.

Effective August 1, 2023, an electronic database of notaries public was published on the State of Delaware’s Open Data portal and will be updated frequently.  This allows a person to verify the authority of a notary public to perform notarial acts and will allow them to verify if the notary is approved to perform report or electronic notarization.  You can access the Open Data portal here.
